Synopsis

In a world unlike any other lies the story of Eva. Eva has always felt that something was off about the world she inhabits, a world that seems too perfect and controlled, with no room for spontaneity or chance encounters.

Eva's doubts grow stronger and she embarks on a journey to uncover the truth about her existence and the world she lives in. Her search leads her down a rabbit hole of deception and lies, as she discovers that the people around her are not who they say they are and that her entire reality may be nothing more than a fabrication.

As the layers of deceit begin to unravel, Eva realizes that she is not a being living in this world, but rather a motion-captured version of herself that exists in the real world. She learns that motion-capture technology has advanced to a point where the privileged few can choose to live in these virtual worlds as their motion-captured characters, with no memory of their real-life existence. Delving deeper into the truth of her existence, she discovers that the world outside of her virtual reality is in a state of ruin and decay. The less privileged individuals are the ones working in the real world, motion-capturing the movements of the rich.

As Eva grapples with the reality of her situation, she must decide whether to continue living in this perfect but false world or to embrace her true self in the real world. In the end, she must confront the consequences of her decision and come to terms with the truth of her existence. Ultimately, Eva chooses to stay in the virtual world, unable to give up the comfort and safety it provides despite the harsh reality of the outside world.

The film raises thought-provoking questions about the nature of reality, identity, and the human desire for escapism.

I created the Futuristic City in blender. I used blender-OSM(open street map) to create the houses. The buildings were a free asset that I remodeled and rearranged. I often take free model and alter them as much as possible by adding more subdivisions The textures were projection mapped on assets.

The Scenes with the Eva(the MC) were done in Unreal Engine 5. I brought in the buildings as FBX models but gave them new textures. The character model was created using metahumans, a Unreal Engine exclusive program used for creating realistic humans.
